Introducing data warehouse import: reverse ETL made simple

Klaviyo news
25 September 2025

At Klaviyo, we’ve always believed that the most successful brands are the ones that know their customers best and act on that knowledge in real time. Today, I’m proud to announce another step forward in making that vision a reality:  data warehouse import via reverse ETL.

In our initial release, we will support Snowflake and BigQuery, with plans to add additional data warehouses as sources. This launch marks a major milestone in Klaviyo’s journey as the B2C CRM built for growing brands.

With this update, our customers can now sync enriched data from their warehouses directly into Klaviyo, unlocking deeper insights, personalization, and faster time to action.

How does it work?

Klaviyo data warehouse import uses reverse ETL—the process of taking data from your warehouse (e.g., Snowflake or BigQuery), transforming it into a usable format, and syncing it back into the tools where teams actually work—in this case, Klaviyo.

Traditionally, ETL moves data into a warehouse for storage and analysis. Reverse ETL flips that flow, pushing enriched data out of the warehouse so that marketers and service teams can activate it directly in the tools they use to engage customers.

Interface for creating a data sync from Snowflake to Klaviyo, selecting data type and sync cadence.

Why this matters for B2C brands

For too long, marketing teams have faced a painful gap. Valuable models like customer lifetime value, churn propensity, or custom RFM scores lived in the warehouse, but they were difficult to activate in campaigns. Syncing this data back into Klaviyo often required expensive middleware, complex pipelines, or developer-heavy workarounds.

With data warehouse import, that gap disappears. Now, marketers can:

  • Connect Snowflake or BigQuery directly inside Klaviyo.
  • Map fields between warehouse tables and Klaviyo profiles with clicks, not code.
  • Schedule recurring syncs so that data is always fresh and actionable.
  • Activate insights instantly across campaigns, segments, flows, and analytics.

This is a breakthrough for teams that want enterprise-grade data access without enterprise complexity. No extra platforms. No bottlenecks. Just clean, actionable customer data, natively inside Klaviyo.

Closing the loop between data science and marketing

The launch of data warehouse import is part of a bigger story: Klaviyo Data Platform (KDP). By unifying marketing, commerce, and service data in a single platform, KDP gives brands the ability to see their customers clearly, trust their data, and act instantly.

Data warehouse import strengthens that foundation by pulling warehouse intelligence, using Reverse-ETL into the same system where marketing activation happens. It’s the next step in eliminating the trade-offs between sophisticated data strategy and speed to market.

Built for growth, designed for simplicity

Data warehouse import is available today as part of our Advanced Klaviyo Data Platform (AKDP) SKU. And this launch is just the beginning.

We know B2C brands need tools that scale without adding unnecessary complexity. That’s why Klaviyo continues to deliver features that:

  • Go live in weeks and show ROI in days.
  • Provide real-time triggers and predictive analytics that help marketers act at the best possible moment.
  • Deliver global scale and uptime without enterprise costs or integration headaches.

In the months ahead, we’ll continue to enhance AKDP with new AI capabilities, deeper omnichannel orchestration, and expanded integrations designed to keep Klaviyo at the center of your customer engagement strategy.

For marketing and service teams, that means you’ll never have to choose between sophistication and simplicity again. Klaviyo gives you both. You and your customers deserve nothing less.
