Welcoming Archana Rao, Klaviyo’s new Chief Information Officer

At Klaviyo, we’re building more than a product–we’re building a company designed to help brands grow smarter, faster, and more efficiently. That takes great systems behind the scenes, just as much as it takes great software on the surface. That’s why I’m excited to welcome Archana Rao as our new Chief Information Officer. 

Archana is a three-time CIO who brings more than 25 years of experience helping high-growth tech companies scale. Most recently, she led global IT at Unity Technologies, where she drove major transformation efforts to support teams around the world. Before that, she was CIO at Atlassian, helping to scale the company from $1B to $3B in revenue, and has also held leadership roles at Cisco, Symantec, and Veritas.

What sets Archana apart isn’t just her track record—it’s her mindset. She brings a strong engineering background, deep operational rigor, and a customer-first approach to everything she does. She sees IT not as a support function, but as the glue that connects teams—from HR and finance to marketing and sales—and a force multiplier that unlocks productivity, scale, and innovation. 

Archana has always believed that data is the foundation for every great system—and every great company. That belief is part of what drew her to Klaviyo: a platform built on data, where customer impact is tangible and experimentation is encouraged. She was especially inspired by the way our customers speak about Klaviyo—not just as a tool, but as a critical partner in their growth.

At Klaviyo, Archana will play a key role in shaping how we use AI to drive smarter, faster decisions—not just internally, but in ways that directly benefit our customers. As we scale, the systems powering our teams need to be as innovative and reliable as the products we deliver. Archana will help us raise the bar on both—so we can move faster, serve better, and deliver more value to the brands that rely on us.

Andrew Bialecki is the co-founder and CEO of Klaviyo (NYSE: KVYO), the only CRM built for consumer brands. Since founding the company in 2012, he has guided Klaviyo's growth from a startup to a publicly traded, category-defining platform that integrates marketing, customer service, analytics, and data to help businesses personalize at scale and achieve smarter, faster growth. Growing up in a family of small business owners, Andrew developed a deep passion for entrepreneurship from an early age. Prior to founding Klaviyo, he served as Chief Technology Officer at RockTech, a sales and marketing software company, and held roles at Performable and Applied Predictive Technologies. Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics, Astronomy, and Astrophysics from Harvard University.
